The 10 behaviors
Each scenario is a situation an ordinary person might encounter, not a technical instruction. Three require a specific feature and are enabled only when your app has it.
Sign up and log inauthentication required
Sign up normally, then log out and return with the same credentials.
Fill in a form in a hurry
Complete a form without checking it — leave a field empty or mistype an email address.
Find information
Use menus, search or simply explore until the information is found — or the user gives up.
Leave and come backauthentication required
Complete a task, leave the app, return later and log in with the same credentials.
Refresh by mistake
Refresh halfway through a multi-step task, as people often do accidentally.
Use it on a phone
Try the same tasks on a small screen that someone would perform on desktop.
Old or broken link
Open a saved link to a page that changed or no longer exists and observe what the app shows.
Explore the interface
Open menus and panels out of curiosity and try to leave them in unexpected but natural ways.
Write like people really do
Use emoji, long names or pasted text in forms. This is not a security test.
Try to buy somethingcart required
Browse the catalog, choose a product and continue up to checkout — always stopping before entering real card details.
